ABOUT US

Working With Me

People who find their way to my practice often know themselves well. They have spent time thinking, reflecting, and trying to understand their inner lives.

At the same time, life can place new weight on even the most capable shoulders. A transition. A loss. A death. Or something felt deeply before it can be spoken.

This is a space where both clarity and uncertainty are welcome.

What It’s Like to Sit in the Room Together

Sessions with me are grounded, thoughtful, and relational. Conversation unfolds naturally, guided by curiosity, emotional attunement, and respect for your pace.

Some people come in with clear thoughts and strong language for what they are experiencing. Others arrive carrying things that feel more complex or layered. We work with what is present, allowing understanding to deepen without forcing anything.

I pay close attention not only to what is said, but to what may be happening beneath the words. Emotions, patterns, and unspoken dynamics often become clearer when we slow down and stay with what matters. One of my roles is to help notice, name, and explore those moments with care.

How I Work

My approach to therapy is shaped by years of experience and a deep respect for the complexity of human lives. I listen carefully, not only for what is being said, but for patterns, meanings, and emotional themes that may be shaping your experience.

I work collaboratively, staying attuned to what feels most important to explore, and adjusting our focus over time as your needs and understanding evolve.

Insight is an important part of the work, but it is not the end goal. As understanding deepens, we pay attention to meaning, emotional experience, and the ways your inner life shows up in relationships, decisions, and daily life. Over time, this awareness often creates space for different choices, responses, and ways of relating to yourself and others.

I hold this process with care, offering perspective and guidance when it feels helpful, while staying responsive to what you are ready to engage.

Therapy is a process we move through together, shaped by trust, honesty, and thoughtful attention over time. Some moments bring clarity quickly, while others ask for patience and care. Throughout it all, my aim is to offer a steady, engaged presence that supports meaningful reflection and lasting change.

Who This Work Is For

This work tends to be a good fit for people who are thoughtful, reflective, and willing to engage honestly with themselves. Many of the people I work with have spent a long time being capable, responsible, or relied upon by others, and are now making space to tend to their own inner lives with more intention.

It is often a fit for those navigating transitions or losses that have altered how life feels, even when, on the surface, everything appears “fine.” At times there is a clear concern to explore. At other times, there is simply a sense that something in their life deserves attention.

You do not need to be in crisis to begin. A willingness to slow down, reflect, and stay with what matters is enough. This work is best suited for people who value depth and a thoughtful, collaborative process, and who are open to engaging in a process that unfolds over time rather than offering quick fixes.

Taking the Next Step

Reaching out for therapy is a meaningful decision. If something here resonates, it may be a sign that you are ready to make room for yourself in a more intentional way.

I offer in-person therapy in Houston and work best with people who value depth and a thoughtful, collaborative process. If you are interested in exploring whether working together feels like a good fit, I invite you to get in touch. We can take the next step at a pace that feels right for you.
